In conjunction with its Rural Tourism Workshops, Travel Oregon presented a check for $10,000 to the Eastern Oregon Visitors Association.

As a successful applicant for one of the Commission's 16 Matching Grants Program awards, the Eastern Oregon Visitors Association will receive $10,000 for its Cooperative Advertising Project. The Matching Grants Program supports new projects that will improve local economies and communities by enhancing, expanding and promoting Oregon's tourism and hospitality industry.
The winning project will include the purchase of regional advertisements in AAA publications in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon; additional newspaper and magazine advertisements as well as teaming with Travel Oregon in the European Travel Channel Series.
