Registration is now available for the Oregon Rural Tourism Studio which will be held starting this fall in Oakridge.
This professional development program delivers hands-on skill-building and planning workshops rich in information to assist the selected community with the development of tourism businesses and infrastructure.
The program opens with an overview of the tourism industry and sustainable tourism development principles aimed at providing your community with strategic direction. The core of the program will focus on developing tourism products in key niche markets specific to Oakridge - cycling tourism, geotourism and events and festivals. The program concludes with specific training on how to market your tourism business, develop effective action teams, and access funds for tourism projects.
