The Northwest Community Development Institute (NWCDI) training will be held July 20-24, 2009 in Boise, ID.
NWCDI provides training to development professionals representing communities of all sizes who want to build their knowledge, skills and abilities in the community development field.
The program is part of a national network of community development institutes endorsed by the Community Development Council. The Oregon Economic and Community Development Department and Idaho Department of Commerce sponsor the training and have scholarship assistance available.
Training includes team building strategies, leadership development, fundraising, business retention and expansion, business attraction and diversification, entrepreneurial development, land use planning, growth management, strategic planning and more.

Participants can also receive a Professional Community and Economic Development Certification (PCED) and Continuing Education Units by attending the training program.
