The International Awards for Liveable Communities (LivCom) recognizes local community efforts in environmental management and livability.

Communities were judged on the following factors: landscape enhancement, heritage management, use of environmentally sensitive practices, community involvement, healthy lifestyles and planning for the future.

Echo was the smallest community represented in the awards and was the only United States city in its category.
