Cycle Oregon announced its 2008 Week Ride will take place from September 6-13 in Northeastern Oregon.

The route will start in the small town of Elgin and will travel through the Grande Ronde Valley to Union, follow Catherine Creek to Baker City, meander with the Powder River on the way to Halfway, head down into Hells Canyon, climb over the Wallowa Mountains, hitting the towns of Joseph and Enterprise along the way back to Elgin.

It's Cycle Oregon's mission to transform individuals and communities through bicycling. All of the proceeds from the ride go to the Cycle Oregon Fund which supports community development projects in the regions that are visited during the ride.
