Gold Beach's Tu Tu' Tun Lodge and Portland's Hotel Vintage Plaza made the top 500 list in both Travel + Leisure's 2008 World's Best Hotels and Condé Nast Traveler's 14th Annual Gold List.

Tu Tu' Tun Lodge, which was named after the Native American term for "people on the river", is set amid evergreen trees on the Rogue River. Wall-to-wall windows allow guests a first-hand view of the river. Hiking, fishing, kayaking, and jet boat rides await visitors who often finish the day with a Chinook salmon dinner.
Known for its wide variety of unique luxury suites - including 2-story townhouses and garden suites with outdoor hot tubs - the Hotel Vintage Plaza is an Oregon wine themed boutique hotel that evokes the romance and adventure of wine country, offering packages like "Pinot in Portland" and "A Love Story".
The Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler awards are based on nominations from global reporters, editors, readers and from surveys conducted by the magazines. They determine what makes each hotel different from its competitors, what rooms are the best to book, which hotels have the best locations, and what amenities and services not to miss.
