Travel Channel Europe Global Brand Campaign

Travel Oregon is pleased to announce the commitment to support a Global Branding Campaign with the production of the Travel Channel Europe Television Series that will be broadcast for three years in 48 million households across Europe, twice weekly in prime time spots. The broadcast will be aired in Oregon's target markets of Germany, United Kingdom, Benelux, France, and Italy.

Travel Oregon has secured seven episodes in the 13 episode series with thematic storytelling that will include Oregon Bounty, Wild West and Native American culture, Eco Travel/Sustainability, Outdoor recreation (spring/summer/fall/winter), Water and Marine, Lifestyle and Urban Life.

The multi media opportunities for this 3-year Television series for Oregon's tourism industry that includes regional destination marketing organizations, chambers of commerce, State Parks, area attractions, accommodations, restaurants, cultural and performing arts, food, wine, local agricultural producing artisans, annual events and historical attractions will brand Oregon as a year around travel destination for the European traveler.

Research has determined that the International traveler stays a minimum of four days, travels mid-week and understands the dollar value of U.S. travel destinations.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to expand Travel Oregon's position in the European market and increase market share for the entire state" said Teresa O'Neill, Director of International Sales and Marketing, Travel Oregon.

Branding opportunities include individual episodes, 40 minutes of HD b-roll footage with unrestricted use, all destinations and marketing partners are featured on a dedicated webpage with links and copy changes for a 3-year period with banner ad color placement. Inclusion in the DVD four color index booklet.

Complimentary components of the project involve the use of a dedicated website, DVD production and distribution, supporting print material, consumer direct promotions, trade shows and retail promotions.

This opportunity has been presented to all Regional Destination Marketing Organizations and your RDMO can provide information on each region's level of participation. There are several levels for both the private sector and tourism industry partners to participate in this opportunity.

For more information on how your business can participate please contact the Travel Oregon producers Jaimie Douglas of Prime Film Sites – 707-591-5606 or Terry Selk of TASMARK Enterprises – 916-708-5969. The production team will be traveling throughout Oregon on pre production and can be available for personal presentation.

The shooting schedule began in September and will finalize in 2008.

I have family in Germany and they adore the legendary Old American West. Be sure and take them to isolated and dramatic Steen's Valley -Fields and French Glen OR!
