Portland Named 2nd-Most Bicycle Friendly City In The World

Virgin Vacations has named Portland # 2 in its list of the 11 most accessible and bike friendly cities in the world. Amsterdam - thought of as the "bike capital of the world" - heads the list.

The U.S. Census Bureaus American Community Survey shows that about one in 23 workers in Portland commute to work by bike. That's about 4.4 percent of Portland workers 16 and older. This is up from 3.7 percent in 2005 and 3 percent in 2004. Click here for more information.
