Tourism Hits Town On Oregon's Adventure Coast

Oregon's Adventure Coast - the Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston and Empire area were recently featured in USA Today.

The article written by Winston Ross of the Eugene Register-Guard was titled: Tourism takes off in Oregon's Coos Bay and focused on the work that the Civic and business leaders have planned to improve the area and help attract even more tourist dollars to the region.

More than $100 million worth of projects are proposed, or in progress, aimed at making the area more attractive.

The Coos Bay-North Bend Visitor and Convention Bureau was awarded a Travel Oregon Matching Grant for the 2008-09 cycle to help produce and market a meeting planner video and sales packet to promote the newly expanded convention facilities.
