Report Shows Hunters And Anglers Have Large Economic Impact

In a report produced by the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation - "Hunting and Fishing: Bright Stars of the American Economy ~ A force as big as all outdoors" - it was determined that Oregon’s 550,000 hunters and anglers spend $3 million a day and $1.1 billion annually.

In Oregon, spending by hunters and anglers directly supports 19,500 jobs, contributes $125 million in state and local taxes and contributes $573 million in salaries and wages.
