Oregon Lodging Association Announces New Wage and Salary Survey for Hoteliers

The Oregon Lodging Association has partnered with WageWatch, Inc., a web-based compensation and benefits survey company, to conduct an Oregon statewide survey of the hotel industry. The survey will report data for 37 key management, salaried, and hourly jobs found in full-service and limited service hotels.

Data will be collected throughout the spring and results will be reported by early summer.

WageWatch currently reports data for Portland, but with the additional Oregon Lodging Association member participation, the expectation is that the survey data will become even more widespread.

Having current "going rate" data for line level jobs such as front desk agents and housekeepers can make the difference in turnover and service levels by choosing the right person for the right amount of pay the first time.

Reports will include state-wide and local areas, providing timely data on hiring rates and average compensation.

Participation in the survey costs nothing. To order a report, OLA members pay only $50 (a savings of $100 for participants in the survey).
