A Successful Journey - Thanks From A Visitor

Travel Oregon recently received a typed letter in the mail from a visitor to our state who was compelled to write a thank you note and describe all of the wonderful sites he encountered on his journey from Walnut Creek, CA.

We'd like to share that letter with you - here's what it says:

Do people ever write you thank you notes?

Over the past several months I've received a wonderful assortment of Oregon travel literature. And, yes, it was put to use.

I have just returned from an Oregon vacation trip that included:
A visit to a creamery in Central Point
A tour of Albany's Victorian homes
A tour of covered bridges
A ride on Salem's sternwheeler "Willamette Queen"
A visit to the Oregon State Park Grist Mill (Thompson's Mill) at Shedd
A stay at Salishan Lodge at Gleneden Beach
A visit to Sea Lion Caves
A tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory
A look at the Oregon Dunes
A tour of historic Jacksonville
A visit to the Evergreen Aviation Museum at McMinnville

Your literature was much appreciated and was put to good use.

Thank you so much!
