The second annual Golf World "Readers' Choice Awards" have been unveiled recognizing the 50 best private, public and resort golf facilities in the country. Three Oregon courses - Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Centennial Golf Club and Heron Lakes Golf Club - were all recognized for their excellence.
Golf World readers were asked to evaluate the nation's golf facilities in three distinct categories - private, public and resort - based on 13 different performance criteria, such as quality of the course, course conditions, reputation/prestige and service. More than 46,000 individual facility ratings were received.

Bandon Dunes in Bandon, was ranked #2 in the list of Top 50 Resort Courses. In the ranking of Top 50 Public Courses, Centennial in Medford ranked #6 while Heron Lakes in Portland came in at #38.
