Popular Science Magazine Names Portland And Eugene As Greenest Cities

Portland tops the charts as Popular Science Magazine's Greenest City in America, while Eugene ranks #5 overall.

According to the magazine, Portland has it all.

Out of the 50 cities ranked, Eugene was the only one to score a perfect 10 on the category of Electricity.
Eugene draws an additional 9 percent of its municipal electricity from wind farms. It also buys back excess power from residents who install solar panels.
