Oregon Highlighted In National Geographic Traveler And Food And Wine Magazine

National Geographic Traveler and Food and Wine Magazine have recently highlighted a group of Oregon hotels, wines, and chocolate. Links to the articles appear below and can be found in the Travel Oregon Media Room.

National Geographic Traveler places four Oregon hotels on their "Check in Now" list.

"Hotels with location inspired architecture, ambience and amenities; eco-stewardship and an ethic of giving back to the community" are the qualities that National Geographic sought. They found such qualities in the following hotels: The Cannery Pier Hotel in Astoria, Hotel Elliot in Astoria, Sylvia Beach Hotel in Newport and McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale.

Food and Wine can't get enough of fine Oregon Pinots. Writer Lettie Teague calls 2006 the "vintage of the century" for the Oregon grape. Producers Beaux Fréres, Domaine Drouhin, Domaine Serene, Soter Vineyards and St. Innocent top her list.
