Travel Oregon has made it easy for you to tap into our spring marketing campaign with a ready-to-use tool kit.
"The Oregon 150 Challenge" campaign is designed to promote near-term travel demand from Oregon's drive markets. Travel Oregon is using the visibility of the sesquicentennial as a platform to promote the state as a travel destination. The promotion drives consumers to a web-based contest created to inspire travelers to explore every corner of the state. Nearly 1,000 consumers have already signed up to take the challenge at TravelOregon.com/Challenge.

The "Oregon 150 Challenge" is supported by a multi-media advertising campaign targeting Oregon, Spokane, Sacramento and Seattle. To help you amplify your local marketing efforts, we've compiled a tool kit for your use. Go to traveloregon.mediaroom.com and click on "Oregon 150 Challenge" to download content for newsletters, web banners and see examples of how tourism industry partners throughout Oregon are augmenting their marketing outreach through the campaign.
Tool Kit content includes instructions for making sure your businesses, as well as your travel deals, are included on TravelOregon.com and the "Oregon 150 Challenge" website. View the "Participation Instructions" document in the tool kit to learn how to get listed.
To leverage the campaign and promote tourism in your area, we encourage you to:
• place the banner ads on your website
• link to the TV spot on your website
• publish the newsletter article in your existing consumer communication pieces
• encourage your partners to use the tool kit
• share the Travel Oregon news release and FAQs with your local media and suggest stories about local Oregon 150 events, destinations and attractions
• send a link to the promotion website to your family and friends (www.TravelOregon.com/Challenge)
Today's travelers are more budget-conscious, taking shorter trips and traveling closer to home. It's a perfect time to promote Oregon as a destination to those who appreciate her best: Oregonians themselves, and visitors within our drive market. Together we can increase Oregon's overall share of voice and get folks traveling to and within our state.
All the materials you need are provided in the tool kit. You will find other resources and news about the campaign as it happens on our dedicated news room page at traveloregon.mediaroom.com.
