What's Going On In Oregon This March?

March 5, 2008

Spring is a lovely time to be in Oregon. Nature’s palette is in full bloom, brightening the landscape with canary yellow daffodils, crimson tulips, pink cherry blossoms and purple crocuses at parks, gardens and flower festivals all over the state.

This month, we have a fantastic giveaway to the Southern Oregon Coast, inventive and delicious Spring Asparagus Lasagna and Hazelnut-Raspberry Brownie recipes and a brand-new issue of Travel Oregon magazine – it’s hot off the press and better than ever (if we do say so ourselves).

See you in Oregon, where we’re learning to make wooden shoes.

I have no idea how you are doing, although I've tolerated your silly and insipid print ads for a while, but you have seriously irritated me with the ad in Backpacker magazine. Am I to believe the best example of overachievement in our state is at U of O? Since when did you become the PR arm for the University of Oregon? How much attention do we need to give their sports teams anyway? (I wouldn't argue for it, but the best example of overachievement in Oregon college sports is clearly the OSU baseball team.) And how stupid do you have to be to piss off the alumni and supporters of Oregon's other public universities? This is really a very bad move, and it's breathtakingly dumb.

You're just terrific, keep us the good work!

Your web site is a wonderful resource to visitors and to residents of Oregon. It gives me all the info I need to find all the events and places we want to visit in Oregon. We moved to Oregon three years ago and your site makes it easy to find special events and places we're interested in. Please keep up just what you're doing. I am so glad I discovered your web site.
Thank you.
