What’s Going on in Oregon This June?

Happy June! As the days get longer and brighter, we’re dreaming of the Oregon outdoors. Camping, hiking, biking, rafting- it’s all on our list of things to do this summer.

This month, one of you lucky subscribers will win a grape-stomping vacation to Willamette Valley wine country during fall harvest. Ready to get your feet dirty?

Also, we’ve got a crowd-pleaser recipe from Ashland’s Larks Restaurant that stars Oregon-fresh berries and nuts. Impress dad with it on Father’s Day.

See you in Oregon, where we’re planning our next hike…

Thanks for sending so much great information. We had planned to be in Oregon in May but open heart surgery has put us back a year. We have passed the information on to others now in Oregon.

I enjoy the information on Oregon. I am a wine weenie and have tasted and enjoyed wine from the Williamette Valley. I have entered several of your contests, however when it comes to enter the “state” you have not included any of the provinces in Canada. Living in British Columbia, directly north of you, I would appreciate if you could add our provinces so we properly enter these contests. Thank you.

My son is very much interested in moving to Oregon soon. Can you tell me or send me some info. on Portland and other large cities in Oregon. He wants to be near a large city for things to do but also be able to sneak away for some fresh air in the country.
Thanks

Hello from Michigan! We will be coming to Portland Oregon in May 2009 for the Bernese Mountain Dog specialty show. I would like to see this website giving more information in regarding pet friendly sites in and outside of Portland along the coast. As we are going to be heading up the coast to Washington, I’d like to see a little of Oregon attractions along the coast especially those that are pet friendly. By the way, yes word has gotten back to this “mitten” that Oregon is listed as one of the most pet friendly states. Congratulations!
